The U.S. ranks 9th in rapeseed oil

According to FAOStat, in 2007, the United States produced 500,000 tonnes of rapeseed oil, or 3% of the world’s total. That was enough to make the United States rank ninth in that category. China ranked first, producing 4,348,100 tonnes, or 25.8% of the world total.

The U.S. ranks 1st in coffee

According to the International Trade Centre, in 2005 the United States imported $3,124,625,000 worth of coffee and coffee substitutes, or 20.2% of the world’s total. That was enough to make the United States rank first in that category.
