The U.S. ranks 17th in commitment to development
According to the Center for Global Development’s Commitment to Development Index, 2009, the United States has a CDI score of 4.9 ranks seventeenth out of twenty two wealthy nations in its overall commitment to “help[ing] poor countries build prosperity, good government, and security.” Sweden ranks first, with a CDI score of 7.0.
The United States declined two positions from 2008.
