The U.S. ranks 6th in economic freedom
According to the Heritage Foundation’s 2009 Index of Economic Freedom, the United States ranks sixth in terms of economic freedom. The United States dropped one spot from 2008. New Zealand, which was ranked seventh in 2008, is now ranked fifth. Hong Kong ranks first, as it did in 2008.
