The U.S. ranks 12th for cheese consumption
According to the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations, in 2003 Americans ate 15 kilograms of cheese per capita, which made the United States tied for twelfth in that category, with Finland, Iceland, and Norway. Greece ranked first, with 25 kilograms of cheese consumed per capita.
