The U.S. ranks 13th in threatened trees

According to the World Resources Institute, there are 198 threatened tree species in the United States, which makes the United States rank thirteenth in that category. Malaysia ranks first, with 737 threatened tree species. Globally, there are 5,904 threatened tree species.

According to BP, the United States decreased its energy consumption by 1.0% from 2005 to 2006, a rate of change that made it rank fifty-eighth in that category. Denmark ranked first, with an increase of 12.7%.
