The U.S. ranks 11th in iron ore imports

According to the International Trade Centre, in 2005 the United States imported $611,302,000 worth of iron ore, or 1.5% of the world total, enough to make the United States rank eleventh in that category. China ranked first, importing $18,379,477,000 worth of iron ore, or 45.5% of the world total.
