The U.S. ranks 5th in recreation and culture

According to the OECD, in 2005 American household spending on recreation and culture equaled 6.4% of the GDP, which made the United States rank fifth out of twenty six nations in that category. The United Kingdom ranked first, with household spending equaling 7.7% of the GDP.
The U.S. ranks 2nd in cut-flower imports

According to the USDA report, “World Horticultural Trade: July 2003 1 Trade Data Edition,” in 2002 the United States imported $529,492,000 worth of cut-flowers, or around 32.4% of the world total, enough to make the United States rank second in that category. The European Union ranked first, importing $617,333,000 or 37.7% of the world total.
