The U.S. ranks 11th in millet

According to the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations, in 2004 the United States produced 342,000 tonnes of millet, or 1.2% of the world total, enough to make the United States rank eleventh in that category. India ranked first, producing 9,400,000 tonnes, or 33.9% of the world total.

The U.S. ranks 86th in breads and grains

According to the USDA, Americans spend, on average, 11.39% of their total food expenditures on breads and grains, which makes the United States rank eighty-sixth in that category. Nepal ranks first, with an average of 57.61% of an average Nepali food expenditure going toward breads and grains.
