The U.S. ranks 14th in broadband affordability

According to the OECD, in Oct. 2008 the average monthly subscription cost for broadband access in the United States was $45.52, which makes the United States rank fourteenth out of thirty OECD nations in terms of the affordability of broadband access. Sweden ranks first, with an average monthly cost of $29.22 (measured in US$ PPP).

The U.S. ranks 13th in sorghum

According to the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations, in 2003 Americans consumed a total of 308,000 tonnes of sorghum, which makes the United States rank thirteenth in that category. India ranks first, consuming 6,452,446 tonnes in 2003.
