The U.S. ranks 11th in personal care time

According to the OECD, the average American spends 45% of her or his day in personal care activities, which makes the United States rank eleventh out of eighteen OECD nations in that category. France ranks first, at 49.2%, and Mexico ranks last, at 42.7%. The OECD average is 45.3%.

The U.S. ranks 11th in clothing exports

According to the International Trade Centre, in 2005 the United States exported $1,814,260,000 worth of “articles of apparel, of textile fabrics, whether or not knitted or crocheted.” This was enough to make the United States rank eleventh in that category. China ranked first, exporting $23,497,248,000 worth of clothing.
