The U.S. ranks 33rd in alcohol consumption
According to the World Health Organization, in 2003, adults over the age of fifteen in the United States consumed an average of 8.61 litres of alcohol, which was enough to make the United States rank thirty-third in that category. Luxembourg ranked first, consuming 15.56 litres per adult.
