The U.S. ranks 3rd in beef consumption

According to the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations, in 2003 Americans consumed 41 kilograms of beef per capita, which made the United States rank third in that category. Argentina ranked first, at 54 kilograms per capita.

    The data is based on a 2003 survay done by FAO, it is not a 2009 update.

    That’s true. I always post the most recent data that I can find, and 2003 is the most recent data provided by the FAO. If you know of a source for more recent information, please let me know so that I can be as up to date as possible.
