The U.S. ranks 4th in threatened reptiles

According to the World Resources Institute, in 2004 there were twenty-seven threatened reptile species in the United States, which makes the United States rank fourth in that category. Australia ranks first, with thirty-eight threatened reptile species. Globally, there are 304 threatened reptile species.
