The U.S. ranks 7th in satisfaction of country’s direction

According to a 2009 Pew Global Attitudes survey, 36% of Americans are satisfied with the direction that the United States is headed. That makes the United States rank seventh out of twenty five countries included in the survey. China ranks first, with 87% of Chinese satisfied with the direction their country is headed.

    I am sure the answers from China were sincere and not influenced by any external forces.

    You may be able to check that from the Pew website, which you can link to from the post. They may have information regarding their methodology that would either support or refute your hunch.
