The U.S. ranks 9th in banana prices

According to the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations, the producer cost of bananas in the United States in 2007 was $904 per tonne, which makes the United States rank ninth out of sixty-six countries ranked in that category. Australia ranks first, with a producer cost of $3,382.75 per tonne.
