The U.S. ranks 5th in cottonseed oil

According to the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations, in 2009 the United States produced 285,700 metric tonnes of cottonseed oil, or 6.0% of the world total. That was enough to make the United States rank fifth out of eighty-eight cottonseed oil producing nations. China ranks first, at 1,746,400 metric tonnes, or 36.7% of the world total.
