The U.S. ranks 1st in grapefruit

According to the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations, in 2005 the United States had a grapefruit supply of 567,101.33 tonnes, or 13.4% of the world’s total grapefruit supply. This was enough to make the United States rank first in that category.

The U.S. ranks 8th in cotton production

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, in 2008 the United States produced 911 millions of 480 lbs. bales which was enough to make the United States rank eighth in that category. Australia ranked first, producing 1991 millions of 480 lbs. bales of cotton.

According to the OECD, the United States ranks first in investment in information and communication technologies with 28.5% of the GDP in 2004.

The U.S. ranks 13th in pig exports

According to the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations, in 2007 the United States ranked thirteenth out of sixty-three countries in the export of pigs with 136,716 heads of pigs. Canada ranked first at 10,031,949 heads of pig exported.
