The U.S. ranks 2nd in pistachios

According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, in 2007 the United States produced 108,598 tonnes of pistachios, enough to make it rank second in that category. Iran ranks first, producing 230,000 tonnes that year.

According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, in 2007 the United States produced 48.6% of the world’s string beans, enough to make it rank first in that category. The next closest country was France, with 16.6%.

According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, as of 2007, the United States is responsible for 79.1% of the world’s cranberry production, which is enough to make it rank first in the world in that category. The next closest was Canada, with 17.7%.

The U.S. ranks 20th in childhood obesity rates

According to the World Health Organization, the United States has an obesity rate of 5.6% among children under 5, which made the United States rank 20th out of 92 ranked nations in that category. Albania ranked first, with a childhood obesity rate of 22.4%.

The U.S. ranks 12th in college faculty to student ratio

According to the OECD, the United States has an average of 66.1 teaching staff members for every 1,000 college students, which is enough to make the United States rank 12th out of 24 ranked nations in that category. Sweden ranks first, with 114.2 teaching staff for every 1,000 college students.
