U.S. ranks 6th in production of Figs

According to data from FAOStat, in 2009, the U.S. produced 4% of the world’s figs, producing 38828 tonnes of figs. The US ranks 6th in countries that produce figs.  Egypt ranks first in fig production with 35% of the world’s figs, and Turkey in second with 25% of the world’s figs.

The U.S. Ranks 30th in number of hospital beds

According to most recent UN Data from 2006, United States has 31 hospital beds per every 100,000 individuals. The U.S. ranks 30th in this category. Japan ranks first with 140 beds per every 100,000 individuals and Russia in second with 97 beds per 100,000 people.
