According to the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations, in 2007 the United States exported 663,465 metric tonnes of apples, enough to make the United States rank fifth in that category. Chile ranks first, exporting 1,549,269 tonnes.

According to FAO Stat, the United States exported 663,465 tonnes of apples in 2007. This was 7.8% of the world’s total apple exports and was enough for the United States to rank fifth in that category. Chile ranked first, exporting 1,549,269 tonnes of apples or 18.2% of the total world exports.

According to the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations, in 2007 the United States produced 4,237,730 tonnes of apples, or 6.6% of the world’s total apple production. That was enough to make the United States rank second in that category. China ranked first, producing 27,507,000 tonnes, or 42.8% of the world total.

According to the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations, Americans consume 21 kilograms per capita of apples each year, which makes the United States tied for twenty-fifth with Iceland and Australia. Austria ranks first, consuming 54 kilograms per capita per year.
