The U.S. ranks 1st in suppy of cocoa beans

According to FAOstat, the United States used about 796318.03 tonnes of cocoa beans, or 19.15% of the world’s cocoa beans. That’s enough for the U.S. to rank first in that category.

The U.S. ranks 9th in cocoa

According to the International Trade Centre, in 2003 the United States exported $212,192,000, or 2.6% of the world’s total, enough to make the United States rank ninth in that category. Cote d’Ivoire ranked first, exporting $2,319,104,000 worth of cocoa, or 28.8% of the world’s total.
