The U.S. ranks 28th in road sector fuel consumption

According to the World Bank, 23.0% of all fuel consumed in the U.S. goes to the road sector, which makes the United States rank twenty-eighth out of one hundred thirty five ranked countries. Luxembourg ranks first, at 51.3%. The Democratic Republic of Congo ranks last, at 1.0%.

The U.S. ranks 9th in wood fuel

According to the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations, in 2004 the United States produced 43,608,000 cubic meters of wood fuel, or 2.5% of the world’s total, which was enough to make the United States rank ninth in that category. India ranked first, producing 17.1% of the world’s wood fuel.
