The U.S. ranks 16th in liking Iran
According to the Pew Global Attitudes Project, 13% of Americans have a favorable view of Iran, which is enough to make the United States tied for sixteenth with Brazil, out of twenty-one countries surveyed in that category. Pakistan ranks first, with 76% of Pakistani’s having a favorable view of Iran.
The U.S. ranks 85th in boys going to grade school
According to the World Health Organization, between 2000 and 2009, the United States had a net enrollment rate for males in primary school of 91%, which makes the United States tied for eighty-fifth in that category with several other countries–Albania, Croatia, Czech Republic, India, Samoa, Slovakia, Suriname, and Uzbekistan. Several other countries–Burundi, Georgia, Iran, South Korea, Spain, Sri Lanka, and Tanzania–tied for first, with 100% of boys going to primary school.
The country with the lowest reported enrollment rate for boys in primary school is Sudan, at 43%.
The U.S. ranks 2nd in pistachios
According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, in 2007 the United States produced 108,598 tonnes of pistachios, enough to make it rank second in that category. Iran ranks first, producing 230,000 tonnes that year.

The U.S. ranks 2nd in natural gas production
According to the CIA World Factbook, the United States produces 18.1% of the world’s natural gas, which makes the United States rank second in that category. Russia ranks first, producing 21.6% of the world’s natural gas. Together, the top five countries–Russia, the United States, Canada, Iran, and Norway–produce 52.9% of the world’s natural gas.
The U.S. ranks 2nd in pistachios
According to the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations, in 2006 the United States exported 48,571 tonnes of pistachios, or 16.5% of the world’s pistachio exports. This volume made the United States rank second in that category. Iran ranked first, exporting 163,431 tonnes, or 55.6% of the world total.
The U.S. ranks 17th in opiate use
According to the United Nations World Drug Report, 2008, in any given year, 0.6 percent of Americans between the ages of 15 and 64 use opiates. This rate makes the United States tied for seventeenth with Georgia, Lithuania, Malta, and Nigeria. Iran ranks first, with 2.8% of Iranians between 15 and 64 using opiates.
