The U.S. ranks 1st in nurses

According to the World Health Organization, the United States has 2,669,603 nursing personnel, which makes the United States rank first out of 192 countries ranked in that category.

The U.S. ranks 23rd in expatriated nurses

According to the OECD, in 2000 there were 6,022 nurses expatriated from the United States working in OECD member nations, making the United States rank twenty-third in that category. The Philippines ranked first, with 110,774 expatriated nurses working in OECD member nations.
