The U.S. ranks 1st in recovered paper

According to data from FAOstat in 2008, the United States recovered 46,835,875 tonnes of paper to later be recycled. That is enough for the United States to rank first in that category.

According to the International Trade Centre, in 2005 the United States imported $14,235,941,000 worth of paper and paperboard, which was enough to make the United States rank first in that category.

The U.S. ranks 1st in paper

According to the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations, in 2004 the United States processed 83,612,000 tonnes of paper and paperboard, or 24% of the world’s total. The United States ranked first in that category. Five countries–the United States, China, Japan, Canada, and Germany–accounted for 59% of the word’s total paper and paperboard production.
