The U.S. ranks 17th in confidence in President Obama

According to the Pew Global Attitudes Project, 57% of Americans have confidence in President Obama. That is enough to make the United States rank seventeenth out of thirty-nine countries ranked in that category. Germany ranks first, with 88% of Germans having confidence in President Obama.

The U.S. ranks 16th in liking Iran

According to the Pew Global Attitudes Project, 13% of Americans have a favorable view of Iran, which is enough to make the United States tied for sixteenth with Brazil, out of twenty-one countries surveyed in that category. Pakistan ranks first, with 76% of Pakistani’s having a favorable view of Iran.

According to the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life, the United States has an estimated population of 3,570,000 Buddhists. That is enough to make the United States rank thirteenth out of more than two hundred countries ranked in that category. China ranks first, with a population of 244,130,000 Buddhists.

According to the Pew Forum for Religion and Public Life, there are an estimated 2,770,000 Muslims living in the United States. That is enough to make the United States rank fifty-second out of more than two hundred countries ranked in that category. Indonesia ranks first, with an estimated population of 209,120,000 Muslims.

The U.S. ranks 120th in Christians

According to the Pew Forum for Religion and Public Life, 78.3% of Americans are Christians, which makes the United States rank one hundred twentieth out of more than two hundred countries ranked in that category. Five countries are tied for first, with more than 99% of their populations being Christian. These countries are Vatican City, Tokelau, Timor-Leste, Romania, and Papua New Guinea.

According to the Pew Forum for Religion and Public Life, in 2010 the United States had an estimated Christian population of 243,060,000, or about 11.0% of the world’s total Christians. That is enough to make the United States rank first out of more than two hundred countries ranked in that category.
