The U.S. ranks 1st in roadways

According to the CIA World Factbook, the United States has 6,506,204 kilometers of roadways, which makes the United States  rank first in that category. The second-ranked country, China, has 3,583,715 kilometers of roadways.

 

The U.S. ranks 28th in road sector fuel consumption

According to the World Bank, 23.0% of all fuel consumed in the U.S. goes to the road sector, which makes the United States rank twenty-eighth out of one hundred thirty five ranked countries. Luxembourg ranks first, at 51.3%. The Democratic Republic of Congo ranks last, at 1.0%.

According to the World Bank, there are 70.2 kilometers of roadways for every 100 square kilometer of land in the United States, which makes the United States rank forty-sixth in that category. Macao ranks first, with 1284.0 kilometers of roadway for every 100 square kilometers of land.
