The U.S. ranks 62nd in prevalence of HIV

According to the World Bank, 0.6% of the U.S. population between the ages of 15 and 49 had HIV in 2007, which makes the United States tied for sixty-second with Brazil, Colombia, Paraguay, Switzerland, St. Lucia, and Uruguay in that category. Swaziland ranks first, with 26.1% of the population between the ages of 15 and 49 living with HIV.

In the world as a whole, 0.8% of the population between the ages of 15 and 49 are living with HIV.

The U.S. ranks 10th in per capita rape suspects

According to UNODC data compiled between 1998 and 2000, the United States had 10.51 rape suspects under arrest per 100,000 population, a rate that made it rank tenth in that category. Swaziland ranked first, with 40.1 rape suspects under arrest per 100,000 population.

The U.S. ranks 6th in assaults

According to data gathered between 1998 and 2000 and published in the Seventh United Nations Survey of Crime, there are 805.21 assaults for every 100,000 Americans, a rate that makes the United States rank sixth in that category. Swaziland ranks first, with 1356.84 recorded assaults per 100,000 people.
