The U.S. ranks 6th in almond costs

According to the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations, in 2008 the producer cost for almonds in the United States was $3,086.00 per tonne, which makes the United States rank sixth out of nineteen almond producing countries ranked in that category. Hungary ranks first, with a producer cost of $9,077.60 per tonne.
