The U.S. ranks 17th in having confidence in President Obama
According to the Pew Global Attitudes Project, 58%of Americans have confidence in President Obama, which makes the United States tied for seventeenth with Uganda out of forty-four countries ranked in that category. The Philippines ranks first, with 89% of Filipinos having confidence in President Obama.

The U.S. ranks 60th in the cost of fast food
According to the website Numbeo, the average cost of a MacDonald’s combo meal (or the equivalent at a different fast food chain) is $6.25, which makes the United States rank sixtieth in terms of the expense of fast food out of one hundred twenty-five countries ranked in that category. The most expensive country in which to purchase a combo meal is Norway, at $15.70. The least expensive country in which to purchase a combo meal is the Philippines, at $2.89.
The U.S. ranks 6th in emotions
According to Gallup, 54% of Americans report feeling emotions on a daily basis, which makes the United States tied for sixth with several countries out of more than one hundred fifty countries ranked in that category. The Philippines ranks first, with 60% of Filipinos feeling emotions on a daily basis.
The U.S. ranks 10th in high technology exports
According to the World Bank, in 2007, 30% of all manufactured exports from the United States were high technology exports, which makes the United States tied for tenth with China in that category. The Philippines ranks first, with 68% of its manufactured exports being high technology exports.
The U.S. ranks 5th in amphetamine use
According to the United Nations’ World Drug Report, 2008, in any given year, 1.6% of Americans between the ages of 15 and 64 use amphetamines, a rate that makes the United States rank fifth in that category. The Philippines ranks first, with 6% amphetamine use.
The U.S. ranks 15th in growth of tourist receipts
According to the World Tourism Organization’s June 2008 issue of World Tourism Barometer, the United States saw an increase of 12.8% in foreign tourist receipts between 2006 and 2007, making the U.S. rank fifteenth in that category. The Philippines ranked first, with an increase of 40.8% in tourist receipts.
The U.S. ranks 23rd in expatriated nurses
According to the OECD, in 2000 there were 6,022 nurses expatriated from the United States working in OECD member nations, making the United States rank twenty-third in that category. The Philippines ranked first, with 110,774 expatriated nurses working in OECD member nations.
